Outdoor Living

Why Outdoor?

An outdoor sauna isn't just a wellness purchase — it's a transformation of how you use your backyard. Fresh air, natural surroundings, and a dedicated space that signals to your mind and body that it's time to switch off.

The Outdoor Difference

Your Backyard Becomes Your Retreat

There's something fundamentally different about stepping outside to your sauna. The transition from the house to the garden, the cool air on your skin before you enter, the sounds of the outdoors — it all compounds the ritual. An outdoor sauna creates a genuine separation between your everyday space and your recovery space, and that separation matters.

Six Reasons to Go Outdoor

01

Year-Round Use in the Australian Climate

Australia's temperate coastal climate is ideal for outdoor sauna use. Unlike colder climates where outdoor saunas are a seasonal luxury, a well-insulated outdoor infrared sauna in Torquay and the Surf Coast can be used comfortably every month of the year — even in winter, when the contrast between the warm cabin and the cool evening air is at its most invigorating.

02

Fresh Air and Natural Surroundings

Indoor saunas recirculate the same air. Outdoor saunas let you step out between sessions and breathe fresh air, cool down naturally, and reconnect with your garden. The combination of heat therapy and fresh air is something an indoor sauna simply cannot replicate.

03

A Dedicated Ritual Space

When your sauna is outside, it becomes its own destination. You don't walk past it on the way to the kitchen. You make a deliberate choice to go there. That intentionality is part of what makes the ritual stick — and why outdoor sauna owners tend to use their saunas far more consistently than those with indoor units.

04

No Renovation Required

Installing an outdoor sauna requires no structural changes to your home. No permits for internal works, no bathroom modifications, no impact on your living space. Our saunas arrive pre-assembled or in easy-to-assemble panels and can be positioned on any level, stable surface — a deck, a concrete pad, or compacted gravel.

05

Adds Value to Your Property

A quality outdoor sauna is a genuine lifestyle asset that adds appeal to your property. In the current market, outdoor wellness features — pools, spas, saunas — are increasingly sought after by buyers. A well-positioned outdoor sauna cabin is a feature, not a fixture.

06

Built for the Outdoors

Our saunas are constructed from aluminium planels on the outside using stainless steel fittings.  They are built to live outside, not just survive it.

Where to Put It

Placement Made Simple

One of the most common questions we hear is: where does it go? The answer is almost always simpler than people expect. Our saunas need a level, stable surface, a standard 10-amp  outlet within reach, and enough clearance around the unit for ventilation and access. That's it.

Our installation team can advise on the best placement for your specific backyard during a free site consultation. Contact us to arrange.

Timber deck

Ideal — provides a level, stable base and integrates beautifully with the sauna aesthetic. Ensure the deck is rated for the weight of the unit.

Concrete pad

The most practical and durable option. A simple concrete slab poured to the footprint of the sauna is all that's required.

Compacted gravel

A cost-effective alternative. A well-compacted gravel base with a level surface works well and allows for good drainage.

Existing paving

Existing level paving can work well provided it is stable and can support the weight. Check with our team if you're unsure.

The Surf Coast Climate

Built for Where You Live

Torquay and the Surf Coast sit in one of Australia's most liveable coastal climates — mild summers, cool winters, and the kind of evenings that make an outdoor sauna genuinely magical. Our saunas are designed and built to handle coastal conditions: the salt air, the humidity variation, and the temperature swings that come with living near the ocean. Premium timber, quality hardware, and a weatherproof construction mean your sauna will look and perform beautifully for years.
